Rosendale Youth Center

 

Mission Statement: The Youth Program staff provides supervised recreation for youth, informal counseling, advocacy and agency referrals and employment assistance.

The Rosendale Youth Center welcomes visitors under age 21.

The Youth Center is open Monday-Friday from 2:30-6:00pm.  Hours are subject to change based on use. There are covid procedures in place with limited capacity and paperwork to be filled out by parent/guardian’s. Pool tables, ping pong, legos, board games, sports equipment, video games, arts and crafts table, and a place to hang out and be a kid are all available. Bussing from Rondout School district is an option. Those interested need to talk to Matt first. Any questions let us know.

Summer Camp occurs for 8 weeks over the summer. We have limited spots for 2021 and those interested need to contact Matt.

Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

Visitors are the responsibility of staff while indoors. When staff are doing activities outside with youth then they are our responsibility but if youth go out on their own they are not.

In-House center programs have included Tobacco Prevention Classes, Homework Help, Body Image / Education Workshops, etc.

Employment opportunities exist in our Summer Day Camp for teens age 16 and older.

A volunteer CIT program gives 15 year olds valuable work experience at day camp. CIT’s selected by interview.

Volunteers needed and donations always welcome!!

Funding for the Rosendale Youth Program is provided by the Town of Rosendale, fundraisers, businesses and individual contributions, for which we are extremely grateful.

Fees:

$45 for residents
$75 for non-residents

Sports equipment available for sign out to be used at the park include softball, tennis, volleyball, tee-ball, basketball, badminton, football and jump ropes.
Children must be under 17, 3 hour maximum use of the building, cooking is not permitted.
