DA David Clegg – Ulster County District Attorney (non-voting member)
Councilman Matt Igoe – Rosendale Town Council Member (non-voting member)
Councilwoman Carrie Wykoff- Rosendale Town Council Member (non-voting member)

Introductions/ Intentions

Resource Guide from Governor

Chief Schaffrick requested hard copies of the resource guide from the Town Clerk for each of the Committee members. Councilwoman Wykoff offered to pick them up and distribute them to Committee members.

Governance of Committee

DA Clegg will be a non-voting member of the committee. Councilwoman Wykoff and Councilman Igoe are also non-voting members and are serving as liaisons. Councilman Igoe is a liaison for the Police Commission and Councilwoman Wykoff is a liaison for the Town Board.

Chief Schaffrick suggested that he should not serve as Chair or Vice Chair because of the voluminous documents and data he will be supplying the Committee with throughout this process.

Chief Schaffrick nominated J. Bliss as Chair and T. Dixon as Vice Chair. The nomination was seconded by T. Johnson. All were in favor.

The position of secretary will be a shared position.

D. Clegg is serving on five other Police Reform Committees he may need to send a representative.

Follow Up

Councilwoman Wykoff will create a contact sheet for members of the committee
Chief Schaffrick will forward intro of police manual
J. Baron will create a drive for documents and minutes
Everyone will review guide from governor and develop next steps

The next meeting was set for Thursday, August 27th 5:30- 6:30 PM and the meeting was adjourned.
