2:40 p.m. Meeting called to Order
Pledge of Allegiance: Supervisor Walsh
PRESENT: Supervisor Walsh, Commissioner Hafner, Commissioner Stenta, Deputy Chief Schaffrick, Town Councilman Matt Igoe
ABSENT: Chief Perry Soule
Supervisor Walsh made a motion to approve the minutes from September 24, 2019, 2nd by Commissioner Stena. Roll Vote: 3 Yes
Deputy Chief Schaffrick:
The Chief’s vehicle 7F361 needs repair work of approximately $3,700.00. He is looking at different options for a vehicle.
The Brookside School evacuation drill was held on October 10, 2019 and it went well.
The Rosendale Runs was held on October 19, 2019 and there were no issues.
All of the Police Officers have completed the fire arms cycle training.
There is a Police Department meeting on November 13, 2019 and the Ulster County District Attorney’s office will be there to discuss the new laws which take effect in January, 2020.
Deputy Chief Schaffrick started the evaluations for all Police Officers.
There is a First Responder’s Mass at St. Peter’s Church on October 27 at 10 am.
The Police Department has upcoming events of Halloween, Pickle Festival and Frozendale in the next 2 months.
Officer Kayla Wallace has completed her Field Training.
Supervisor Walsh stated that the Mobile Life contract was signed and they will be renting space in the Rondout Municipal Center and will be moving in during the weekend of October 26, 2019.
Supervisor Walsh made a motion to adjourn at 3:07 p.m, 2nd by Commissioner Stenta. Roll Vote: 3 Yes
