Road Closure on Dewitt Lake Road begins March 16th.

It has been determined by the Ulster County Department of Public Works that the embankment of Dewitt Lake Road in the Town of Rosendale requires stabilization via installation of a retaining wall. The construction is anticipated to begin on March 16, 2020.

The Ulster County Department of Public Works has contracted for the replacement work. In order to accomplish this work, it will be necessary to close a portion of Dewitt Lake Road in the Town of Rosendale to all thru traffic effective Monday, March 16,2020. The closed section of roadway will be immediately east of the intersection with New York Route 32.

Traffic may use State Route 32 south for 0.4 miles to Main Street southeast for 0.6 miles to Eddyville-Creek Locks Road northeast for 2.0 miles to NY-213 west for 0.2 miles to Mountain Road southwest for 0.7 miles to Dewitt Lake Road southwest for 0.7 miles.
