A motion by Ernie K. to accept the May minutes, motion seconded by Ernie D.
Water sold to Town Pool: Terry informed the Commissioners that the Water department sold 166,000 gallons to the Town’s pool. The water dept did receive a check from the Town.
William Brooks: Bill came to the meeting to discuss putting in another water line to his Main St. property. Bill explained that he is planning to put another building behind his barber shop and he would like to have a separate water line for it. He was not going to do the water line right away, but because that the State will be repaving Main St. next week, he would like to put it in before the road is repaved. Bill showed the Commissioners the plans for his new building and where the new water line will be. A short discussion followed Harriet asked Billy Liggan what the Planning Board thinks of Bill’s new building. Billy informed Harriet that the project will probably be approved at their August 3 meeting. Terry informed Bill that he will have to get a permit from the water department to put the new water line in. The line will then have to be inspected by them before it is buried.
Smith Controls: Terry stated to the Commissioners that last Friday at the filter plant, our main computer, which tells us when to backwash and when to open the trains, stopped working. One of the PLC Boards was not working on one of the four trains, so Smith Controls had to be called. They will be coming out tomorrow (July 25).
Contract on Turbidity Meters: Terry stated to the Board that last year we took out a contract with Hach for our turbidity meters. The contract is coming up for renewal. Terry explained what the contract covers. The cost of the contract last year was $2,000. The cost is now $2,255. 96. A short discussion followed. All Commissioners agreed to the renewal of the contract with Hach.
Storage Tank Contract: Terry informed the Commission that the Sand Hill storage tank contract is also coming up for renewal. He explained what the contract covers. The cost to renew is $515.00. All of Commissioners agreed to the renewal of the contract for the storage tank.
Vouchers submitted for approval of payment.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:46 p.m. on a motion by Joe. Motion seconded by Ernie Kelder.
