townships of Marbletown and Rosendale only.

Daily Fees:
Adult (17 yrs and older) $5.00
Juniors (13-16 yrs) $3.00

Passes will be available at the pool during regular hours or at the Recreation Center. Proof of residency will be required. Application forms at the Pool or the Recreation Center.
The Pool is scheduled to open Memorial Day Weekendand weekends only through the 3rd weekend in June. The Pool opens daily June 24th through Labor Day. Open Swim hours are 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. most of the summer. The Pool is closed for open swim during all home swim meets.
Swim Lessons:
Three sessions will be available in July and August; sessions available morning and evening hours. Each session includes eight (8) 30-minute lessons over at 2 week period; Monday through Thursday with Friday as a make-up day for inclement weather.

(A limited number of scholarships are available – please see the Recreation Director for more information.)
Each Swim Lesson Session has a limited number of slots available, please sign-up early. This summer we will offer lessons for Level 1, 2, 3 and Parent and Me. Swimmers looking for more advanced lessons are encouraged to join the Rosendale Rapids Swim Team. (Patty Hess, President 687-7188.)

Recreation Department
The Recreation Commission is in charge of all the recreation facilities and parks within the Town of Rosendale. The facilities are constantly being updated and upgraded and we hope that you enjoy all that we have to offer.
The playground is located in the Recreation Center complex.
The equipment here is sure to please kids of all ages.

Again located within the Recreation Center complex, the ballfield is available for public use every weekend and during the week when there is no league play.

Also on the grounds are tennis courts,

a basketball court

and horseshoe pits. There is a walking track around the ballfield.
Veteran's Park is located at the intersection of Routes 213 and 32. Sit in quiet contemplation in the gazebo while gazing upon the waters of the Rondout Creek.


Linear Park is located behind the Red Brick on Main Street. It has lighting and benches that look out to the Willow Kiln Park.


Willow Kiln park is located behind the municipal parking lot off Main Street. Enjoy a picnic on one of the picnic tables or.....

walk across the little bridge and.......

look for the frogs hidden in the pond or..........

maybe catch a performance at the new stage area.

Rutsen Park is a small area off James Street behind the Youth Center that overlooks the Rondout Creek. Enjoy a cookout on one of the park grills and afterwards walk up the little hill where it joins the Recreation Center complex.

The swimming pool is located in the Recreation Center complex and is open to the public during the summer for a nominal fee, paid either as a daily rate or a season pass.

The Catherine O'Leary Pavilion is adjacent to the pool and open for use by the public. It has approximately 16 picnic tables and park grills are adjacent to it for your use. It is also available for rent should you wish to reserve it for a party. An application for facility use is available at the bottom of this page.

The Community Center is where most of the Town meetings are held. It is available for rental for private parties or club meetings when not is use for Town functions. An application for use is available at the bottom of the page.

The Community Center is divided into two areas, the "dining room" shown below has round tables that seat five each and the.......

"great room" has rectangle tables and lots of chairs. It also has a dance floor, all you need is the music. The rooms are separated to accommadate two functions or the divider can be slid back........


to make one really big room. Accommadations large enough for 200 people.

The building has a large kitchen with ovens, burners, grill, deep fryers, several sinks.......

commercial refrigerator and commercial freezer.

We hope you take advantage of all the recreational opportunities the Town of Rosendale has to offer.
