Hot! Ad for Bids – Still Pond Water Treatment Plant Improvements

Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the Town of Rosendale Still Pond Water Treatment Plant Improvements will be received by the Town of Rosendale, 1915 Lucas Avenue, Cottekill, New York 12419 until 2:00 pm local time Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids will be received for the following Contracts:

Contract No. 3A – General Construction: Scope of work consists of removal of existing four (4) pressure filter trains, the south facing wall and two (2) raw water pumps. Scope of work also consists of expansion of the water treatment building to accommodate one extra pressure filter train. The scope of work also includes the installation of five (5) new pressure filter trains, three (3) new raw water pumps, six (6) new chemical feed pumps and associated tubing, various process instruments, six (6) new flow meters, and all associated piping and appurtenances.

Contract No. 3B – Mechanical Construction: Scope of work consists of Mechanical improvements associated with the expansion of the Water Treatment Plant building.

Contract No. 3C – Electrical Construction: Scope of work consists of the removal of the existing PLC and associated wiring and with associated with the expansion of the Water Treatment Plant building and installation of the water system treatment trains. Scope of work also consists of furnishing and installation of a new PLC, computer workstation and associated wiring.

Contract Documents, including Advertisement For Bids, Information For Bidders, Labor and Employment, Additional Instructions, Bid Documents, Agreement, General Conditions, General Requirements, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense at the office of Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., 280 Broadway, Suite 12, Newburgh, New York 12550, or at Town Hall at 1915 Lucas Avenue, Cottekill, New York 12419. Copies of the Contract Documents via Compact Disc may be obtained from Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., upon non-refundable deposit of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) for each CD. CASH DEPOSITS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ALL HANDLING COSTS (MAIL, DELIVERY SERVICES, ETC.) SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER.

Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.

This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Town of Rosendale prior to incorporation into the work of the Contracts.

The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts.

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
